ParticipantHello,
I’m looking for a sustainable farming and/or draft horse apprenticeship. For the last few years, I’ve been working and interning on farms but have been longing to be involved in something more sustainable. My experience lies mostly in gardening but I have some livestock experience as well. My ultimate goal is to run my own draft powered farmstead to supply my family and community with real, healthy food. I’d like to learn to work in the woods, gather firewood, and gain building skills. Some of my interests (which are topics I’d like to learn more about) include biodynamics, herbalism, mushrooms and bees.
If anyone knows of a farm where I may be a good fit, please let me know. I’ve been looking through MOFGA, NOFA and just started finding farms through rural heritage.
Peace,
