Our good friend John Hayden just informed us about the launching of a new non-profit he is working on called Seeds of Self Reliance, to empower people through gardening. Their project promotes a model to provide access to land, water, seeds, tools, and technical assistance for communities eager to improve their quality of life through gardening. Their first big project involves purchasing land adjacent to an Haitian farm worker-based community in the Dominican Republic.
