ParticipantEver since I’ve started working with draft horses I’ve know there are a lot of things that control how much a horse can pull. Does any one have any idea as to what a horse could pull with out drag? I know horse pullers can win a pull with 3500 LB’s and then again they win with 14K all depends on the moisture in the soil. I know the size of horses would also make a difference and if they were in shape, so with that all being said lets say a well broke team 8-12 yo worked regularly weighing in at 3200 as a team pull? so I would assume they are about a 16-17H horse on flat solid ground. I know my team that weigh bout 3800 pulled a 06 F350 crew cab that was suck in the mud and sunk in there a ways and they pulled up hill, I would assume that truck is about 7800lbs mud and up hill would increase that amount of drag
