Some politician thinks the City Of Portland’s mounted patrol is costing too much. Seattle went through this a few years ago, but managed to keep their mounted patrol going through donations. I’ve personally had contact with a Portland mounted patrol (it ended good), and think they are definitely an asset to the city. If they go away, you’ll never see them come back.

KeymasterIt would really be a shame to see them go. Here are a couple of great ways horses are being used where I’m living, in VT:
