Donn Hewes
KeymasterI took a few photos of my horses, mules, and donkeys feet. I think the photos are hard to see what I am doing exactly. but they do show the general differences between these animals. Any comments or questions on hoof trimming are welcome. There is one front and one hind for each animal, on the ground and from the bottom. Animals in order are: Lady, 9 y/o Percheron Mare, her foal Pete, a 6 m/o Percheron mule, Connie, 9 y/o Suffolk mare, Her daughter Lee, a yearling mule, Eddie, a 5 y/o American Mammoth jack and Lee and Pete’s sire, George, a 9 y/o mule, and finally Polly, a 15 y/o Percheron mare.
There are also a couple pictures showing the outside concrete paddock and in side space I use for horses. The inside has rubber mats. One photo of bot fly larva and a bot knife. There is a link in the first sentence.
