ParticipantMade for me by Merle Miller of Crystal Valley Harness. He just bought the shop from Paul Yoder who decided to persue his dream of becoming a dairy farmer. Not bad at all for only the third or fourth harness he’s made. If it’s any indication of how things are gonna be he’ll do great. He’s being mentored into the business by Paul still but it turned out great. Anybody notice anything special about this one? I may be alot of things, but closed to trying new ideas isn’t one of them. lol

ParticipantI had him make it out of the “dull” bio which I love. Gives it a leather ish look with none of the weight.

ParticipantWow, your horses are going to need a bath before they put that beautiful thing on! So much bling, I love it.

ParticipantWow John, beautiful harness. That’s the first good look at the dull bio, had to look a couple times to tell it from leather. I also really like the brass spreader rings. Very nice harness.

ParticipantI have to say I have never been a fan of bio, but I do like what you have. I might have to give it some consideration.

Participantnice looking harness, i really like the look of the dull bio. here is a newbie question, what is the purpose of the spreader rings?

ParticipantJust lets them walk a little further apart. My left hand horse crowds into the furrow with the lines just ran through the hames. I prefer through the hames for cultivating and anything requiring a great deal of precision but I like my spreaders for any tongued work and plowing. Personal preference though.

ParticipantI don’t know for sure but I wuld guess no more than a third of what my beasts of leather harnesses did.

ParticipantVery nice I am not a bio person either but I will take a closer look now. I also like the brass spots. Looks old school just the way I like it. Enjoy
