ModeratorI had a phone call last evening from a Mr. Clark from northern Maine. We have spoken several times in the past. He is a logger, using a skidder, tractor-drawn forwarder, and from time to time horses. He lives about 30 miles north of Presque Isle, in the tip of the state nearest the Canadian border.
He is interested in finding other horse loggers in his area, or those who would like to travel there, to work for him for a while. He has a lot of work that he figures a hybrid between horses and machines would be favorable, but cannot consistently run both horses and machines by himself.
Anybody who would like to explore possibilities with him should call him at (207) 896-3113.

ParticipantClark should get in touch with Scott Briggs over there. He is a skilled teamster with good horses and a horse drawn forwarder. I can get him Scott’s info if we wants.
