Hello from Illinois

Hello all,
I have been veiwing the list here for a while and finally posted something today, so it seemed a good time to say hi. I am not in a position to have the oxen I want yet, but enjoy reading and learning from those of you who do.

I know one person who just started a pair of shorthorns last year. He is about 45 minutes away and has ben training his pair mostly as a hobby, just pulling a light cart around. I go watch when I can. He seems to be doing well, although the team was found in the neighbors front flower bed a few weeks ago when they got out overnight.
