ParticipantHello All,
I’ve been lurking around the fringes here for about 2 years, eavesdropping but staying out of sight just because I’m rather shy and socially awkward, and learning a lot from what all of you share. I’ve been able to ride along on all your chores without getting in the way (or helping), so an introduction is long overdue.
I am a weekend volunteer at Blue Star Equiculture, where my draft horse dreams planted 30+ years ago and nearly forgotten have unexpectedly sprouted and are thriving. I am retiring from my day job (computer geek) at the end of the year so that I can do this full time. I will probably never be a “real” horse-powered farmer or logger, but I intend to see how close I can get.
I enjoyed meeting some of you at the 2017 Field Days and look forward to meeting more of you at future events and workshops.
