ParticipantI recently had to put one of my belgians down. This is my first team that have been with us for 4 years, His teammate of the better part of twenty years seems to be ok. The one we had to put down was the dominant horse of the pair but was also the slacker. His teammate that we still have was the worker, I have never driven a single horse and was hoping for a little insight. He hasn’t been harnessed since the middle of may and I am not sure how he will react without the boss. I have to say it was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made, The vet was amazed that for as bad off as he was he was still going. rest in peace peanut. Thanks for any advice.
