ParticipantThey used to fish with horses down here in Astoria on the Columbia River. When driving across the Astoria-Megler bridge (across the Columbia) you’ll see a bunch of old wood piles in a sandbar to the west of the bridge. Those piles once supported the horse barns for an extensive horse seining operation.
