    Mattie (AKA “Phat Mattie, when she’s pregnant – like now) is a Boer goat = typically, shorter than dairy goats, and stout. {We’re not allowed to use the “f”-word around here, right now… so I have to spell it “phat”}. I was measuring her today {hey, I was bored, and it gives me the opportunity to check them over up close – it’s kinda my job as a farmer}.

    She is on about day 148 of a 150-day pregnancy. She stands 22″ tall, and now is 20.5″ wide. 😮

    Right after I measured her, she reached up with a back leg to scratch behind her ear…
    …the baby(s) kicked…
    …she fall down.
