ParticipantHow much clearance is needed for the double tree and the implement?
I know this is a tough question but I am looking for some of the logic behind the decision. On a wagon I just make sure there is plenty of room, but I am trying to finish my logging cart and I would like the pole to be as compact as possible.
Correct me if I am wrong before I weld on my hammerstrap. I set the double tree on the pole pocket at a place where when the double tree is rotated to the point where each singletree hits the pole; there is about 5 inches behind before it hits the cart. As for hoof clearance the cart is high off the ground and I am factoring in for about 4 or 5 trace chain links?Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks
