creative uses for Hornbeam?

Ive got a lot of thinning to do on the land we are buying, does anyone have any creative ideas for hop hornbeam (hardhack, ironwood)?

I made some into equipment tongues, but was warned that it rots fast if not kept under cover. A farm that I used to live on had a ton but wouldn’t use it for fence posts because they would rot fast, they cut all the dead ones for fast easy drying firewood, gives off some great BTUs.

I use it for firewood as well, I have had poor experience with it as fence post due to it rotting, we have a lot of black locust so we are a bit spoiled. I wasnt sure if there were any clever commercial uses?

…. and peavey handles. Carves pretty hard, but doesn’t break very easily.
