Scholarship available for Plowing Clinic in April

Hi everyone, funding has become available to provide a scholarship for someone to attend Sam Rich’s two day Plowing Clinic in April (21 and 22) in Abington, CT.

The ideal candidate will be a young or new farmer with a little or no plowing experience or maybe has a specific plowing problem, who plans to use draft animals to plow a significant portion of there farmed land. The candidate needs to have a single horse or team (horses or oxen) and appropriate sulky or walking plow to bring to the event. Transportation is not covered in the deal.

So if you are interested or know a good candidate, we need a short essay….300 words or so…describing your farming experience with draft animals, plowing experience and generally why you want to participate.
