ParticipantI spoke with Becky at Zimmerman’s Harness (717.354.5667) about modifying my current bridle so that it could serve as a Bridle/Halter. She made 2 straps pictured below for $15 or so – one that hooks under these nose band that includes a ring and one through which the throat latch passes. I have been using it on one horse as an experiment for a couple of months. It seems to work. I think if the horse bolted forward toward the tree they were tied to (unlikely), it could pressure the bit. Otherwise it seems secure to me. Any thoughts on the safety and utility of this?
