ParticipantMy 15 year old daughter picked up her first training job today. It’s not a draft horse it’s a 3 year old paint about 16 hands only trailered when it was brought home at 6 months. Took a wile to load but she kept calm and after a little ground work got him loaded. She did most of the ground work with my horse and finished her horse. She loves to train animals dogs and horses, now if I could get her to train draft horses I would have it made. She has done a lot of work with Gypsy our Morgan that we drive but she (my daughter)is young and loves to trail ride and stuff so driving is my department. Not sure if this belongs here but I’m proud of my little girl. Eli

ParticipantShe will always have the draft horses in the back of her mind because that is what you love. Some day it will come out.
I love to hear about the young people working with animals not just showing up to ride them.

ParticipantShe does almost all the work with our horses she even drove to pick up horse yesterday ( she has her temps) I hope she can somehow make a living out of what she loves, I believe she has a gift (I may be biased) with animals. Agreed it is good to see young people working with animals I see to many depending on mom or dad for everything. I tell my kids I will help with everything but won’t do anything. Eli
