ParticipantMark, I thought about cattle as well but I also know that good logos are good in their simplicity. It would be interesting, though, to see the logo generally as it is with a single horse meeting an ox team coming toward them, but somewhat in the distance. T

ParticipantEthan, looks like the Board and Exec meetings are generally at 7 unless otherwise noted.

ParticipantThe larger ring is a pole ring to hold up a wagon tongue for instance and hold back the load when you stop. The smaller ring is probably for a chain. The smaller ring is sometimes called a calabash ring or a bitch link and it forged in a way that you can drop a chain link in to pull a load.

ParticipantI prefer the first one (A). It conveys draft animal power immediately, even to those who have no knowledge of it. Nice design.

ParticipantAre you going to have stall dividers? Made of what? Feed trough in front? Trough for manure in the back? What type of floor?
Tim Harrigan
ParticipantWhat do you mean by tie stalls? Are you referring to a box stall that you could tie them in if you wish to, or more along the lines of a stanchion?

ParticipantTom, that is just a good opportunity to think about how you should have done it and plan how you will to do it next time.

Can this be right that a lot of these boots are only in 2EE and 3EE width? I always thought D was most common. Work boots are kind of a big deal, I want boots that fit.

ParticipantI will look, but I have been using my cell and I don’t use it very much so it could be that I just have not gone over the monthly limit to trigger additional $.

ParticipantLooks good. Bending bows takes some pretty good effort to be successful. Do you have a steam box?

Jen, you made a lot of good points that will set the stage for further refinement. However, I was a little burned out last night and today I was heading out to the woods so this morning I just wanted to lay out where I thought we were so others could comment and give it some thought. Thanks for all your good work.

ParticipantNo, haven’t seen it done. I suppose I would just drag the chains back. Probably be nice to have 2 Peaveys, one at the landing and one at the stump. What if you just leave the flare on the butt log? That might be enough in some cases. Remember you are talking to a flat-lander here. 😉

ParticipantI agree with everything Michael said. Also, if this will be a good learning experience just charge what you think you need on an hourly basis and see how it goes. If you do not make a lot you won’t loose much either on a small job like this but you will be in better stead to make a better bid on the next job.
