ParticipantI got the Ring irons today for the scoot. Should be good to go.

ParticipantI picked up the flat bar and sq tube for the stake pockets today. Talked to a local logger about the rings off an old set of skidder chains. It should not take to much to finish it up.

ParticipantBradley,
I have a pioneer forecart set up with shafts if someone needs it for working a single. It has a home made arch attachment pinned on the back. I could bring it down with me in a trailer.

ParticipantJohn,
I use a model 100 with my single belgian behind a fore cart. The land is preety flat and he seems to handle it fine. It is more difficult for him single in the plowed soil. I think a 100 is small for a team of full sized drafts but it will work. It is only a 40 bushell spreader. A model 200 would be better suited for a team. I attached a link for you. Good luck.

ParticipantHere are some pics of what I use. Very simple design incorporating the handle John spoke of to keep your hands free of the hook.

ParticipantJean,
I will make it easy for you, you get the VT and Kevin can have the NH. Then they can debate the differences at a later date 🙂

The scoot will be built. Plans are for sure in the works.
Is anybody that is planning on going to the workshop a maple syrup producer? I need to get some syrup to send to my family in GA and I can not afford to buy it from where I work. I would love to support someone who sugars with their horses. I am only looking for a gallon of heaven in a plastic jug.
Jean
Jean,
I have gallons in plastic if you prefer that,
