    That’s exactly what I figured it was 😀 – love it
    brings me to my next question: do you wrap your lines around it or do you have a knot in their end so you just drop them?

    can’t the classes not be on:

    or are already too much hormons in his body?

    those hormons will taper out after castration; I can’t promise his behaviour will improve though, because he has learnt he can boss around; my vote? castrate and if nothing changes, still BBQ 😉 but then with a better meat-quality

    Ixy,
    are you using a sheep skin or a flokati rug?
    I use flokati all the time 😀 ;
    you may even want to look for an old harness saddle and simply weave your string through; it should rest in its proper place by itself with the baskets and a belly band.
    got my ox a used pack-saddle. when we tried it for the first time…..well, no he didn’t spook with the sides packed (for exercise a bale of hay on each side) but:
    I forgot to get out of his way 😮
    so when we entered the field through the gate in the fence he sure enough passed me as I told him and whacked me in my back with the bale on the side so I stumbled and fell into the electric fence;
    the very fence that I had put “on line” in case he would dash for an escape….;) smart thinking 😉

    thank you, that helps 😀 I should have listened to my teacher instead of dozing off…

    So if a horse gets “behind” on the evener.. how much extra effort does he need to put in to catch up ??

    don’t know 😀
    but
    from my understanding the deal should be to prevent the getting behind of the weaker / untrained horse; so actually I have to look ahead and figure out my needs in advance
    does that make sense?
    if you talk about the difference of length of the lever arms, shouldn’t that equal the difference in weights of the animals first of all?
    Carl’s evener is built with the hole to hook towards the load behind the ones on each end of the evener, that means it will actually be easier on the horse that lags behind to use its power

    I had always thought that the horse that was behind was in the hole and had more of the load just because they were closer to the resistance or load. It seems the horse that is behind has a hard time bringing their side back to even. I guess I was just reading the horses more than the physics or engineering, because it seems that horses that are hooked heavy seem to want to be out front, which made me think it was easier than being behind.

    does this picture explain it a little? in the end it depends on where you have your holes in the evener: are they in a straight line or is the middle one set back or up front….assuming the off horse in draft direction steps up

    with bronze shoes

    :confused: no sparks? no sparks because dynamite leaks nitroglycerin in rainspells, collecting in puddles + being extremely unstable??

    i guess lots of people wouldn’t be against it if they knew that a garden plot can get them through the month with extra dollars in the pocket – every month!

    yes, but that means they would have to get their butt off the couch, turn off that da…d TV, skip the latest soap opera and get busy.
    the ones that do know about it keep their garden anyway…..

    keep your driving lines out of her mouth? 😀

    serious: dip the lead rope in anything that leaves it tasting bitter or dribble Hot sauce on it – hope you wear gloves……
    use chains on the lead rope’s end…..
    anyway good luck with your new help……
