Participanthope you make it to Pa sometime to enjoy the forests of maple, oak, hickory, beech, wild cherry, ash, gum, etc…. also big ole sycamores, hemlock and tulip poplar….lots of raccoons, too, but where i live there’s a lot more people than raccons.

Participantyou may already know of Ross farm museum? they are in New Ross Nova Scotia and they farm with oxen and Canadian horses there.

Participantwould be interested to hear how you like the fjord horse. i don’t have fjords myself, but have been to norway several times, in fact it was on a farm in western norway that i first worked with draft horses. draft HORSE, actually, they only had the one.

i am working on a single horse-powered wheelbarrow at the moment (basically a mini-dump cart).
how about a single-horse scraper for clearing manure out of barnyards and snow out of driveways…..becorson
